Millions of children suffer needlessly and face lifelong health complications due to dental disease. Left untreated, it can have a devastating effect on a child's ability to eat, sleep, learn, and grow into a healthy adult. In 2000, the United States Surgeon General declared pediatric dental disease a "silent epidemic".

Sadly, many families simply can't afford to have their children see a dentist nor can they afford dental insurance.

At the Children's Dental Health Center at Englewood Dental, we feel every child deserves excellent oral health. That is why Dr. Jennifer Akkaway is proud to be affiliated with America's Toothfairy Dental Program. She has pledged to provide children who have been identified by the program with comprehensive, pro bono dental services in a compassionate healthcare environment.
