Fluoride Treatments Provide Extra Protection to Ward Off Cavities

Most US tap water contains fluoride, a mineral that strengthens tooth enamel and attracts other minerals.  Most bottled water doesn’t contain fluoride.  Many people are using bottled water instead of tap water.  This puts people at risk of fluoride deficiency and increases the chance of cavities.

At your checkup, we can determine whether your teeth would benefit from a fluoride treatment. If we find that your teeth could use a boost, we’ll recommend a simple fluoride solution.

Fluoride mouth rinse is available in many flavors at our office. One quick rinse, and your teeth will have a better chance of staying healthy. We offer supplemental fluoride for patients of all ages. Oftentimes, our hygienist will recommend additional ways to keep your fluoride levels up between dental visits. These may include switching to tap water or using a fluoride-rich mouthwash at home.
